How to Contribute

There have been numerous requests from members asking how they might contribute to the website. At first, my instinct was, if not to decline financial contributions, at least not place any information regarding financial contributions on the website and answer any such requests personally by email.

This website is a service effort I took on myself because I am so very grateful for the speaker tapes that were shared with me early in my recovery. I got sober in an area with no oldtimers actively involved in meetings and very little of what we know to be the program of Alcoholics Anonymous being talked about in the meetings I attended. So when I was given a set of the Joe and Charlie Bigbook Study tapes, I came to understand the problem, the solution, and the program of action to bring about that solution. Other tapes were shared with me along this journey and did much to aid me in staying sober and understanding our program. So I offer these tapes and this website at no charge in gratitude to those who shared with me, in hopes that others, like myself, may be helped.

I've recently come to the conclusion that the spirit of the 7th tradition does not mean that I will not accept contributions from others, but that I will allow other AA members to contribute to the maintenance of this website if they desire to do so. So I will outline below how one may contribute if they wish to do so, but it is in no way implied that anyone should contribute to use the website or tapes as they see fit. Simply passing on what you have found helpful to others in need of help is all that I ask.

Of course, we will gladly accept any tapes and cds of AA talks to share with others on the website. Please provide with each tape as much information as possible; Name of speaker, his/her hometown, the event/speaking location, and date of talk. You may mail tapes or cds to:
